Fake Farage will fail public like all others before him

LIKE many people, my hopes of sweeping changes to the current political system - corrupt, punitive and rotten to the core — were raised by the real breakthrough of Nigel Farage and the Reform UK party.

Promising to rid us of the same old cliques of Labour and the Conservatives and establish a Reform government that will truly represent the needs of the UK and its people, we are in fact seeing the creation of what will be just another elitist political party, comprised of wealthy and entitled defectors who have so badly failed the public whilst in office.

Already having to backtrack on recent grandstanding promises, Farage’s conservative Reform UK Party would serve the public (and the taxpayer) no better than that we have endured for decades.

Climate change real

ACCORDING to statistics, Scotland will have had its warmest year ever in 2025, from records of nearly 200 years.

All weather forecasts are becoming more extreme with increased storms, flooding and raging fires from periods of drought, causing widespread disruption. All of which points to climate change being a reality.

This must now be accepted by all and that a concerted effort be made to change our way of living. The greed of self-centred nations like that of America and Russia must be altered.

For many years increased weather events have resulted in worldwide, death and destruction.

The urgent need is for positive world progress, cutting greenhouse gas emissions along with a fair transition from dirty fossil fuels to clean renewable energy, when all life on our beautiful planet can be sustained.
