EX-AVIVA BOSS DIES IN CRASH

THE Scots former boss of insurance giant Aviva has died in a car crash after his Aston Martin veered off the road and hit a tree.

David Barral, who was from East Kilbride, died at the scene in Yorkshire on Tuesday after the sports car burst into flames.

Police are investigating the crash, which happened at 2pm on the A58 Leeds Road near Wetherby.

The 63-year-old's family said in a statement: "We are all absolutely devastated at the loss of the most wonderful man.
