Scotland set for goal rush as National Stadium nets half dozen games for UEFA 2028 finals and a quarter of a billion pound jackpot

- PAUL HUTCHEON

SCOTLAND is set for a quarter of a billion pound boost from hosting six matches at Hampden Park during Euro 2028.

The Glasgow stadium will welcome fans to half-a-dozen games in the Euros with people pouring into the country to watch the contests, it was revealed last night.

Football superstars such as France's Kylian Mbappe, 26, Jamal Musiala, 22, from Germany, Norway ace Erling Haaland, 25, and England’s Jude Bellingham, 22, could all be heading to Glasgow's south side.

Euro 2028 will be one of the largest sporting events ever hosted by the UK and Ireland - and Scotland is set to reap the benefits.

The eagerly-anticipated match schedule will see games in nine stadia across eight host cities and the nation will be praying home heroes, such as Scott McTominay, 28, can help Scotland get to the finals when qualification kicks off in 2027.

Four group games will be played at Hampden as will a last-16 fixture and one quarterfinal.
