STUART ARMSTRONG says Aberdeen are desperate to soothe their Ibrox agony with a Pittodrie painkiller.
The Dons veteran admits his team were hurt by Tuesday's meek surrender in Glasgow as they went down 2-0 to Danny Rohl's resurgent Rangers.
It took two set-piece goals for the home side to clinch victory and if losing in such a cheap manner wasn't exasperating enough, there was the added frustration factor they also blew a flurry of glorious chances to test keeper Jack Butland.
But former Scotland midfielder Armstrong insists Aberdeen will be fired up for the second instalment of this week's doubleheader.
He said: "Yeah, especially with the feeling we came away with that we can create chances. We probably should score a goal or two.
"That hurts but it's something we'll carry into Sunday with the added belief we should maybe take a bit more and learn from Tuesday where we can improve.
