Amused Jens more than happy to be in demand... but reassures Well fans he's content at Fir Park
JENS BERTHEL ASKOU admitted being linked with Aberdeen makes him smile - only to then reassure the Fir Park faithful he's more than happy leading the Steelmen shock troops.
The Motherwell gaffer has been touted for the Dons job on the back of Jimmy Thelin's departure, while several of his stars have been the subject of transfer window speculation.
Askou insisted there's no point worrying about exit talk - as any interest should only give his men a bigger boost.
Asked about the Dons chat, the Dane said: "Now you're sitting here and confronting me with it, so it's hard to block that out, isn't it?
"For everyone who is involved in football and who is involved in a club that is performing really well - and also a little bit better than people would have expected - it's natural the players, staff, get linked with other jobs.
"It's not the first time and it's not going to be the last. Sometimes you get linked with getting sacked if you're not winning enough games.
"It's hard for us to control what somebody puts in a tweet - or whatever it is - then suddenly it's a story and suddenly it's the truth.
