Del's sure January window isn't a case of Bloom or bust as restrictions won't rein in his Jambos

DEREK McINNES insists Hearts will be ready to spend in January - even if Tony Bloom can't plough any more cash into a title splurge.

- BY FRASER WILSON

The Brighton owner invested £9.86million, along with access to his Jamestown Analytics tool, for a stake in the table-topping Jambos in the summer.

But chief exec Andrew McKinlay this week had to remind onlookers that Bloom will not dig deep again at the midway point as UEFA rules over dual ownership won't allow it.

Hearts sit five points clear of Celtic ahead of Sunday's mouthwatering clash, with Bloom expected at Tynecastle to watch the noon kickoff.

While McInnes continues to play down talk of being title contenders at this stage, he certainly isn't ruling out dipping into the market.

He said: “Tony had said that when he came in - it was a one-off investment.

“It’s not to say that we can't be active in January as a club.

“We've got a board there, obviously we've got real strong investors and James Anderson before who has helped us out.
