Curry house owner died after chase over unpaid bill, prosecutors claim

THREE Scots have been extradited to Canada to face charges following the death of a restaurant owner two years ago.
An unpaid food bill is said to have sparked the incident
Sharif Rahman, 44, died a week after he was assaulted in Owen Sound, Ontario, in August 2023.
Robert Evans, 24, his father, Robert Busby Evans, 47, and his uncle, Barry Evans, 54, appeared at an Ontario Court of Justice hearing in Owen Sound on Friday.
They were arrested last July and October by Police Scotland in Edinburgh and Dalkeith.
They were escorted by the Owen Sound Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police to Canada following the extradition process last Thursday.
