CRASH WAS WORST I'VE EVER SEEN

A TEENAGE camper has told how he and a pal rushed to help three tots hit by a vehicle trailer.

The infants, an eight-month-old baby and 14 and 18-month-old toddlers, were in the care of a nursery employee who was pushing a pram when the trailer flew off a Mitsubishi Outlander and hit the group in Dumfries on Monday.

All three were seriously injured and rushed to hospital, along with the 18-year-old female nursery worker.

Charlie Jones and Andrew Clarke, both 19, were on a camping trip when the crash unfolded on Pleasance Avenue.

Charlie said: "It was the worst thing I've ever seen. It was very traumatic.
