CHECKING OUT THE COMPETITION

JUST when it seems every possible TV competition has been tried and tested, another one comes along. The Great B&B Challenge is Channel 4's latest offering with six couples going head-to-head for the chance to run a picturesque five-bedroom property in rural France as a bed and breakfast.

Every week, three couples take the keys to French rental properties to run them as B&Bs for the week. They are given just a few hours to prepare for guests, before competing in challenges to test hospitality, culinary and business skills. As the couples are whittled down, four make it to the final week where they'll take it in turns to run the prize B&B that could be theirs.
