SHAMAL GEORGE reckons St Mirren's clear-the-air meeting last week can kickstart their lagging league campaign.
The Buddies travel to Livingston for the second time in four days tonight in a game that’s arguably far more important than their weekend Scottish Cup win after extra-time and a penalty shootout.
Boss Stephen Robinson demanded a reaction from his players after their dismal midweek defeat at ten-man Hearts, where he accused his own players of making him “look stupid”.
He got that reaction as a far-more spirited Saints edged through and will face Airdrie in the fifth round.
But their league form has fallen off a cliff since their Premier Sports Cup triumph against Celtic last month.
Defeat tonight in West Lothian would see bottom side Livingston move to within five points of them.
But keeper George believes a team meeting could be the catalyst for a strong second half of the season.
