Fury as hitman hunt turns into deadline day farce
BLUNDERING Celtic were last night on a frantic last-gasp striker search after a series of embarrassing snubs left fans fuming at a horror transfer window.
The Hoops secured wide man Sebastian Tounekti in a £5.2million move from Hammarby - while Adam Idah checked out in a £6m plus switch to Swansea. But the Parkhead club slammed into brick walls in their attempts to land replacement frontmen — after being rejected by at least two top targets.
Kasper Dolberg snubbed Celtic at the 11th hour in favour of a return to former club Ajax from Anderlecht.
And Chelsea fringe man David Datro Fofana also knocked back a proposed move to Glasgow and opted to head to Championship Charlton.
