Buffer zones are a step too far

MANY of the protests outside asylum hotels have given rise to unsavoury behaviour that reflects badly on the participants.

The demos have become magnets for the far right and some of the so-called protectors of women are charlatans and criminals.

So it is understandable calls have been made for “exclusion” zones near asylum hotels to ensure protests do not upset residents.

Asylum seekers deserve dignity and are entitled to a life without harassment.
