BEN STANWAY has gone from the “baby” of Firhill to mixing it with the big Bhoys - and hopes doing so for club helps open the door for his country.
The 20-year-old is now a stalwart in Partick Thistle’s midfield entering Sunday's Premier Sports Cup quarterfinal with Celtic.
He’ started the last five games and was voted Jags' player of the month by the fans but stayed at home in the last international break.
Ts‘oanelo Lets'osa and Ben McPherson were both in the Scotland Under-21s squad but Stanway being left out bordered on “crazy” in boss Mark Wilson's book.
