AN ASYLUM seeker has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman and a girl of 14 just days after arriving in the UK on a small boat.

- BY JOSH PAYNE

Ethiopian Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu’s behaviour in July sparked protests outside the Bell Hotel where he was housed in Epping, Essex, and then across the country.

Kebatu's trial heard he was offered pizza by the 14-year-old shortly before he tried to kiss her on July 7.

The court heard that when Kebatu, 38, asked her back to the hotel and she said: “No, I'm 14, he replied: “It doesn’t matter.”
