Evergreen winger won't rule out another deal

- RYAN MCDONALD

ALL FORR 1 MORE

JAMES FORREST insists his Celtic story isn't over yet - and has refused to rule out signing a new deal.

The iconic one-club man is out of contract this summer but remains a crucial squad member after 18 seasons with the Hoops.

Forrest, 34, is the second-oldest player in the Parkhead dressing room behind 39-year-old goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

But the age-defying winger insists he doesn't see himself as an elder statesman and believes he still has plenty left to offer.

He said: "No, I actually don't.

"Obviously, when you look at it, I'm the second-oldest in the team.

"But I still feel good. I train every day. I still want to be a part of the team.

"We've got a big squad and I'm fighting to be a part of that and I like that fight.

"I just love playing. I know I'm getting to the latter stage of my career but I'm trying to work harder and stay as long as possible and help the team.
