A&E waiting times target missed again

SCOTLAND'S health service could be on “the brink of collapse” this winter as a key waiting times target was missed for more than a third of A&E patients.

Data showed that of the 25,416 people who went to A&E in the week ending October 19, 64 per cent were seen and either admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours - well below the Scottish Government target of 95 per cent.
