Warning over use of water as prolonged dry spell goes on
Daily Post
|May 23, 2025
NATURAL Resources Wales (NRW) has issued a warning about the use of water following a prolonged spell of dry weather.
-
The agency confirmed the whole of Wales has been moved into “prolonged dry weather” status.
The warning has escalated from the country’s previous status of “normal”.
Yesterday's decision is based on factors including the impact that high temperatures and a lack of significant rainfall have had on rivers, groundwater levels, wildlife and the wider natural environment across Wales.
