Treth niweidiol? Go brin!

MI fuon ni’n brysur yn y maes carafanau dros y Pasg. Wnes i ddim mentro’n bellach na Dolgellau dros y penwythnos achos dydi bod yn sownd mewn traffic ddim yn rywbeth sy'n Ilonni fy nghalon, ond mi glywais bod y Bermo fel ffair a Phorthmadog yn gwegian. Clywais hefyd fod Betws y Coed yn berwi efo ymwelwyr a'r rhesi arferol o geir wedi parcio am filltiroedd yng nghyffiniau Llyn Ogwen.

Ydi pobl wir yn credu bod yr heidiau hyn yn mynd i gadw draw os wnawn ni godi treth ymwelwyr arnyn nhw? Mae'r ‘Bil Llety Ymwelwyr’ yn mynd drwy’r Senedd ar hyn o bryd, bil sydd am “dyfu twristiaeth drwy gefnogi cymunedau lleol mewn ffordd gynaliadwy”.

Bydd y pres yn helpu awdurdodau lleol i fuddsoddi mewn - neu dalu am - fwy 0 wasanaethau angenrheidiol - sgubo neu garthu’r strydoedd, glanhau’r traethau a thoiledau cyhoeddus, gwagio biniau ac unrhyw lanast na chafodd ei roi mewn biniau, a chyfrannu hefyd at gynlluniau gwarchod y Gymraeg, mae’n debyg.

Mae'r llanast sy'n cael ei daflu i’n biniau ni dros y Pasg yn anhygoel; mae’r bocsys wyau Pasg yn cael eu hailgylchu wrth gwrs (wel, y rhan fwya), mae'r stwff plastig oedd am gacenni a bwydydd (digon i borthi’r pum mil a bron i gyd wedi eu prynu dros y ffin, nid yma) hefyd yn y biniau ailgylchu, fel y cannoedd o boteli gwydr a chaniau cwrw, a’r bagiau o fwyd benderfynon nhw beidio ei fwyta wedi’r cwbl.

Felly mae’n anodd dallt pam fod y ‘Gwastraff Cyffredinol’ wastad mor llawn, ond maen nhw’n gorlifo bob Pasg, yn union fel y biniau yn y Bermo ac ar lannau eraill y mér a'r llynnoedd.
