NEW OWNERS TO REOPEN FAMOUS RESORT TEAROOMS
A COUPLE will this month reopen a famous Llandudno tearoom in a "love story" that has brought them to Llandudno.
Dawn Belton Pritchard, 49, and husband Paul Pritchard 48, are the new owners of Haulfre Tea Rooms on the side of the Great Orme, taking over from Diane Easter and Paul Lloyd after 18 years.
Dawn said the cafe was so much more than a business to them and they knew as soon as they stepped inside that this was "home".
She explained: "It was a familiar walk - one I'd taken countless times over the years while visiting Paul's family in Llandudno. That day, I wandered through Haulfre Gardens along the Invalid's Path, fresh from a dog walk on West Shore Beach. The sea air, the winding paths, the view - all so known to me. But something was different.
"There it was: a 'For Sale' sign, perched on one of the most beautiful buildings I'd ever seen, overlooking what I believe is the most breathtaking view in all of Llandudno. My heart skipped."
