DIGGERS ARE ON SANDS WHERE A KEY FEATURE WILL DISAPPEAR FOREVER
A kilometre of wooden fencing is being ripped out along a popular beach on the Llŷn Peninsula. Wooden walkways are also being dug up and replaced at Traeth Marian-y-De, Pwllheli.
Heavy plant machinery has moved onto the sand and shingle beach, which stretches past the town's promenade from Gimblet Rock.
They're carrying out work designed to improve access and smarten up the sea front, where new seating is also planned.
In recent days, diggers have been removing a long stretch of fencing running along the top of the beach. These were originally installed to help restore and protect the area's dunes.
