ARNE SLOT is adamant the imminent departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold will not overshadow Liverpool's Premier League title celebrations after a controversial afternoon at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold was targeted for abuse by sections of the home support after emerging as a substitute midway through the second half of the 2-2 Premier League draw against Arsenal.
It was the first game for the Reds since the right-back confirmed he will leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, with Real Madrid expected to be his next destination.
The jeers and boos aimed at Alexander-Arnold throughout his cameo appearance made for an at times poisonous atmosphere among Liverpool supporters, who were occasionally seen arguing among themselves.
