Section of A55 closes as 'urgent' work starts

AN A55 section in Denbighshire closed last night for the start of nine days of “urgent” repairs.
Expansion joints are being renewed on Bod Erw Bridge at Junction 27, St Asaph.
These features enable the structure to flex and accommodate movement caused by traffic loads, thermal expansion and concrete shrinkage. Without them, bridges are vulnerable to structural cracking and warping.
