SEARCH AND RESCUE STALWART CLIVE DIES AFTER 30 YEARS OF SAVING LIVES IN NORTH WALES

TRIBUTES have been paid to a veteran rescuer, who has died after almost 30 years helping to save lives with a North Wales rescue team.

Clive Lane remained operational with the North East Wales Search and Rescue Team (NEWSAR) into his 70s, regularly attending call-outs.

In a tribute to Mr Lane, a NEWSAR statement said: “NEWSAR recently lost a dear friend and team colleague who was an active team member for almost 30 years, coordinating and attending several hundred callouts over this time. Clive was a well established and highly respected First Responder and Search Manager.
