Roadworks blamed for huge delays to leave hospital car park

PATIENTS AND STAFF REPORT 90-MINUTE WAITS DUE TO ACTIVE TRAVEL SCHEME WORKS
WORKERS and patients have been left fuming by waits of up to 90 minutes to leave a hospital car park.
Roadworks have been near the Penrhos Road entrance to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor in recent months, done by Cyngor Gwynedd to bring in active travel lanes for cyclists and walkers.
It has been causing various levels of congestion since April.
But on Wednesday, drivers reported absolute chaos while trying to leave the car park (pictured main and inset), many taking over an hour to exit. Some speculated it could be because the position of traffic lights for the roadworks had been changed.
