Prominent seafront hotel in Llandudno has been sold

A PROMINENT seafront hotel in Llandudno has changed hands for the first time in 75 years. Christie & Co announced the sale of The Merrion Hotel, which has been purchased by expanding Four Saints Hotels group.

Over the decades, the hotel has grown from a 20-bedroom guest house to a significant hotel property in one of the most desirable locations in Llandudno.
Directly fronting onto the promenade, the five-storey Victorian building has 62 ensuite bedrooms, many with sweeping views across Llandudno Bay. There is also a bar and lounge area which regularly hosts entertainment, and a restaurant which is open to the public.
The hotel has been owned by the Bream family for over 75 years, and has been sold by brothers Gareth and Paul Bream due to retirement.
