PLANS to build flats on the site of Wrexham's first nightclub to operate a 24-hour drinking licence have been submitted.
Peppers - also known as Sgt Peppers - on Bridge Street was a popular venue run by well-known local businessman and Wrexham's 'Mr Clubland' Kerry Wycherley. Through the 80s it was one of the beating hearts of Wrexham's nighttime economy, welcoming famous artists including the 80s 2-Tone star Buster Bloodvessel and his Bad Manners band through its doors.
