Plans for Wrexham Academy submitted

PLANS to begin work on the new Wrexham AFC Academy at Darland High School in Rossett have been submitted.

Following the granting of planning approval earlier this year, the engineering application includes plans to refurbish the full-size main pitch that the school will continue to use - sharing with the Academy - plus the creation of five additional pitches suitable for 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and a full 11v11 match. The second full-size pitch will also include a sixth pitch within it suitable for 7v7.

In the December newsletter to parents, Darland High School headteacher Joanne Lee said: "The New Year promises even exciting developments.
