Director blasts manager speculation

- By LIAM RANDALL

WREXHAM director Shaun Harvey has strongly dismissed reports suggesting that the club has debated Phil Parkinson's future, labelling them as ‘an absolute disgrace’

Rumours surfaced last weekend that discussions had been held among club officials regarding the manager's role following a shaky start to the new season.

Wrexham have managed to secure only four points from their first five Championship matches and currently sit 21st in the league table, just a single point above the drop zone.

Despite the backing of Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, who sanctioned a spending spree of more than £30million during the summer transfer window, the Red Dragons find themselves in a precarious position.

‘The club's 13 new signings have yet to find their footing, with their only victory coming against Millwall before the international break.
