FORMER
Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury has opened up about being diagnosed with testicular cancer aged 25.Lansbury started his career with the Gunners but left for Nottingham Forest in 2012 (right). He also played for Aston Villa, Bristol City and Luton Town before retiring in 2023.
It was during his spell at the City Ground in 2016 that he found a lump while showering. He continued to play after this discovery but eventually got it checked out. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer and immediately had surgery.
Lansbury has remained cancer-free since and is an advocate for early detection. He said on In the Mixer brought to you by Sky Bet: “Mentally I'm quite strong so I was alright.
