Man put bricks on unlit 60mph road at night, and three cars hit them

A MAN deliberately placed bricks on a dark stretch of the A483 on New Year's Eve, damaging three cars which struck them.

Lee Wright endangered motorists on a stretch of the main road, between Arddlin and Pool Quay in Powys, a court heard.

The 38-year-old, who was homeless at the time, was at the roadside and volunteered himself to the police when they arrived at the scene.

Wright admitted three charges of damaging cars and another of causing danger to road users.

Prosecuting, Dafydd Roberts told Caernarfon Crown Court the offences happened at about 7.25pm on December 31.

The bricks were placed on a single carriageway with a 60mph speed limit, which was unlit. The road was also wet.
