Mac expects to be fit for start of new season

ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER is hopeful he will be fit for the start of the season after returning to Liverpool team training.
The Argentina international missed the Reds’ final two matches of last season with an undisclosed injury and has remained sidelined since.
The 26-year-old missed Argentina's World Cup qualifying double header against Chile and Colombia in June, and was also absent for Liverpool's preseason friendlies against Preston North End and Stoke City.
And while he travelled with Arne Slot’s squad for their preseason tour of the Far East, he also sat out the clash with AC Milan in Hong Kong.
Having followed an individual fitness programme for the majority of the summer, Mac Allister has now returned to team training.
