Last-ditch bid to save three public toilets in Flintshire

A last-ditch attempt is being made to retain closure-threatened public toilets in three Flintshire communities. A council consultation has been launched inviting residents, businesses and community groups to share their views on the facilities in Holywell, Mold and Talacre.

This explores whether people would be prepared to pay to use the toilets - though Flintshire Council warned this would be "unlikely" to cover all the costs of keeping the facilities open.

Shops, supermarkets, pubs and petrol stations are being asked if they would open up their own toilets for non-customer use. Libraries, sports centres and council offices are also being canvassed.
