ALEXIS Mac Allister says he was delighted to see “amazing” Alexander Isak get off the mark in the Premier League after Liverpool beat West Ham United 2-0 on Sunday to move into the top half of the table.

And Argentina international Mac Allister also feels talk of his fitness issues this campaign have been overplayed, claiming the debate has raged simply due to the run of poor results Liverpool have been on for the last two months.

Isak, who joined the champions on September 1 for a British-record fee of £125m from Newcastle United, scored the opening goal at the London Stadium before Cody Gakpo sealed the result in stoppage time.
