House price growth stronger in Wales

HOUSE prices are going up in Wales more than in most other parts of the UK, according to new figures.

Wales saw a slight acceleration in annual house price growth to 3.0% in the third quarter, up from 2.6% in the second quarter of this year, said the Nationwide Building Society.
Growth in Scotland slowed to 2.9%, compared with 4.5% in the previous quarter. Overall, the average UK house price increased by 0.5% month-on-month in September, following a 0.1% monthly fall in August, Nationwide said.
