Café at home bargains
HOME Bargains is a customer's paradise when it comes down to value shopping, but how does it fare when it comes down to its food? The retail giant opened its first cafe in Wales in 2021 in the city of Wrexham.
The cafe is strangely located to the right of the tills as you exit the store. You don’t appear to be able to enter the cafe, without firstly wandering down its maze of shopping aisles.
My wife didn’t complain though, as she enjoyed pottering around the corridors of homeware and groceries. Strange garden ornaments to the right of me and odd kitchen gadgets to the left. Here I am, stuck in the middle aisle with you.
The cafe area does have a slight warehouse feel to it, due to the vast nature of the building. The decor is a bright home bargains green and red with a mixture of comfy padded bench seating and tables.
The tables were well spaced out, so you had plenty of room between your fellow shoppers. Not many of my taste tests have involved supermarket trolleys and baskets, all lined up behind my table though.
