Grand theft agro... prowler ignores cars and swipes plants

To their amazement, the hoodiewearing man ignored cars parked on the drive and instead plucked flower plants from a tub before seemingly making off with them.

When footage of Wrexham's great flower heist was shared online, it prompted a host of "is-nothingsacred-anymore" comments. "OMG !! " exclaimed one woman. "People will literally take anything if it's not nailed down!"

The brazen footage, from Summerhill village near Gwersyllt, followed another similarly bizarre incident in Gwynedd. In November, three planters were taken from Llandwrog near Caernarfon, and last week North Wales Police issued an appeal for information.

The Summerhill prowler was captured on camera in the early hours of November 30. The man could be seen tilting a flower tub as if looking for a key or assessing his chances of removing it in its entirety.
