Dragons position under scrutiny after slow start

WREXHAM'S summer spending has come under fresh scrutiny after former Premier League star Darren Bent admitted he is "shocked" by the club's poor start to their Championship campaign.
Despite splashing out about £33million on new players, including the likes of Nathan Broadhead, Kieffer Moore and Conor Coady, Phil Parkinson's side sit 21st in the table, one point above the relegation zone, after five matches.
Wrexham have only four points on the board after one win, a draw and three defeats in their opening fixtures.
Their most recent loss saw them beaten 3-1 at home by Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, with co-owner Ryan Reynolds watching from the stands.
Ex-Aston Villa striker Bent has warned Wrexham's lowly position could soon cost the manager his job if results do not improve after describing the club's spending as "nuts".
