There was no evidence anyone was hurt but a judge told Sam Edwards he threatens violence too easily.

He said the community “needs a rest” from Edwards, of Tryweryn Place, Wrexham, and jailed him for 16 months for affray.

Prosecutor Ryan Rothwell told Mold Crown Court two men had been at home in their upstairs flat on September 20 last year.

At about 12.30pm the defendant Edwards, 33, who had been there about three times previously, went into the building without permission.

The two men inside were Mike Burns and Adam Wilkinson. Edwards was an “associate” of Mr Wilkinson, said the prosecutor.

The court heard that Edwards approached their door holding a 20cm-long Phillips screwdriver. He knocked and went into the flat.
