MISMATCHED detectives Dalziel and Pascoe teamed up for the first time on the BBC 30 years ago.
Warren Clarke played the bluff, loud and politically incorrect Yorkshireman Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel with Colin Buchanan as his younger partner the fast-track university-educated Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe.
They locked horns for the first time on March 16, 1996, in an episode called The Clubbable Woman, which saw them investigate the mysterious death of a star rugby player's wife at her home.
