Cat sitter took owner's car and then crashed it

A WOMAN who was asked to look after a cat while the owner was away stole his car and crashed it.
Jade Williams drove away from the crash site then blamed her accomplice passenger.
However justice caught up with Williams, 38, and she was given a seven-month jail term for perverting the course of justice, suspended for 12 months.
She was also given a one-month, concurrent sentence for aggravated vehicle taking.
Prosecutor Catherine Elvin told Mold Crown Court the defendant, of Bell Court, Wrexham, had been asked by her friend Ian Edwards to look after his cat while he was away from October 7 until October 30, 2023.
