OAH DALEY’S two goals for Penybont ended Caernarfon Town's unbeaten record in a 2-1 away victory.

The 23-year-old _ has now scored seven goals in six league outings and two more in the Nathaniel MG Cup. Only Caernarfon’s Adam Davies has scored more Cymru Premier goals this season with eight.

it’s a massive result for us,’ said Daley. “Those are the type of wins I love. The conditions didn’t help but we got the job done.

“We went into the game with a game plan for the conditions and we executed it”

Daley broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute as he picked up a headed clearance from a corner on the edge of the penalty area, drove past a defender and then smashed the ball past Connor Roberts in the home goal.

His second came a quarter of an hour later as he hammered home another unstoppable shot from the edge of the box.

A defensive mix-up allowed Davies to score for the Cofis with six minutes to go, but it wasn’t enough to stop them tumbling from top spot.

Llanelli Town picked up their first clean sheet and their first point this term as they played out a goalless draw with Colwyn Bay at Stebonheath.

Last season’s champions of the South and North divisions have had contrasting fortunes since returning to the top flight.
