Burst main halts water to homes and schools

HOMES were left without water and schools forced to closed after a mains burst.

Homes in the Connah's Quay area were without water due to the outage yesterday with engineers working to get supplies back on.

Dŵr Cymru apologised to customers and expected the problem to be fixed late yesterday afternoon. It came as Storm Goretti swept in, with snow and heavy rain set to hit the region.

A statement from the water company said: "We're aware of a burst on our network which is affecting the water supply to this area.
