Beachside cafe plan for seafront in £13m sea defences upgrade

A REVISED cafe proposal is now planned as part of a massive coastal project at a North Wales beach. The coastline at Kinmel Bay is getting a £13m upgrade to the sea wall and rock revetments.

This is to protect residents and holiday parks from rising seas and and the increased risk of storms.
Work - which is funded by Welsh Government and Conwy council - stopped in August to minimise tourism impacts but is due to get underway again later this month, with Jones Bros carrying out the development.
