Just one point and no goals but McGinn says 'Don't panic, goals will come'

- BY STEVE JUDGE

JOHN MCGINN is confident Aston Villa's slow start to the season will prove to be nothing more than a blip after suffering defeat at Brentford.

The Villans have a point on the board but have failed to score in their opening two games for the first time since 2002.

Skipper McGinn was hard pushed to come up with a reason why.

He believes it is only a matter of time that this group of players click into gear, with his focus now on the chance to right the wrong of last season's FA Cup semifinal defeat against Crystal Palace, back at Villa Park on Sunday evening.

McGinn said: "We know we are still a very good team. It's very easy to start panicking and changing what we know we have built over the past few years.

"We need to stay strong, use the ball well against Palace, who have been good against us the past couple of seasons, so we have got a point to prove there. At home we need to create more chances, score more goals. We know what we need to do."
