'Yam will do... but we have Mainoo'

DECLAN RICE can only laugh when he watches Lamine Yamal strut his schoolboy stuff on one of football's greatest stages.

"I was trying to get a scholarship when I was 16," Rice said. "And here, you've got Yamal putting one in the top bins.

"At 16, what he is doing is on another level as there is no way I was ready at 16." Spain's wonderkid turns 17 tomorrow - the eve of the final in Berlin - and he has already set Euro 2024 alight.

But Rice says England have a prodigy of their own, albeit a couple of years older.
