WHY SIR BOBBY IS REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE GREATS
Daily Mirror UK
|June 04, 2025
"WHEN I'm in the pub, people don't ask me about my cancer, they want to know what Sir Bobby Robson or Alan Shearer were like.
And that is the reason Paul Ferris wrote his book, 'Once Upon A Toon'.
"I could have written a tell-all about the horrible things that happened and the not-very-nice people I met, but I wanted to shine a light on the weird and wonderful," Ferris said. "The new book is essentially a series of anecdotes and is deliberately uplifting."
Inevitably, there are stories about the late, great Sir Bobby (right).
