VLADIMIR Putin will today be warned that cyber threats against the UK will not be successful.

The Russian president is expected to unleash a wave of attacks, Nato security chiefs will hear.

But Pat McFadden, responsible for national security policy, warns Britain will not back down in the AI arms race.

He said the Kremlin "won't think twice" about targeting UK infrastructure amid the threat of all-out war.

He will say Russia has become "exceptionally aggressive and reckless in the cyber realm" and that there is a risk Putin-backed hackers could "shut down the power grids".
