Rovanpera on track to make it to top
THE ‘Max Verstappen of the World Rally Championship’ has declared his ambition to one day take on the Formula 1 legend.
Double World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera has announced a shock career switch as he chases a future at the peak of single-seater motorsport.
The Finnish racer, 25, has taken part in 75 rallies, winning 17 and taking back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.
As the youngest ever WRC champion, race winner and podium finisher, Rovanpera has been described as the Verstappen of rallying and now he is bidding to one day race directly against the four-time F1 champ.
