Unison threatens NHS strike

THE biggest NHS union, Unison, has indicated members may join resident doctors in taking strike action.
It said seven in 10 members who responded to a consultation on the 3.6% NHS pay award said they would back walkouts if the union held a legally-binding ballot.
Unison has 350,000 members in the NHS in England and head of health Helga Pile said: “This result must be a government wake-up call.
