Toon star Anthony warns critics: Never write us off

|October 03, 2025
ANTHONY GORDON has snapped back at Newcastle's critics and warned: "Never doubt us".
Gordon slammed home two penalties in Brussels in midweek, but is now eyeing three points on the domestic front this weekend as the Toon host Nottingham Forest.
The Magpies are 15th in the Premier League table after a poor start, but lifted spirits in the Champions League with a thumping 4-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise.
Gordon admitted that there have been some faults in Newcastle's start to the season, but believes that things will pick up soon. The England star said: "We have lacked spark and creativity so we wanted to put the emphasis on that against Union SG and get it back.
"You work hard enough, and things will eventually go your way. We are that team - and I'm that as an individual.
